Yes, it's the same thing and it's just as bad. Just because you don't agree with it, doesn't mean it's not a slur just like the n-word. It's an analogy and it's the same thing. Like biggin said, he knew better. He's the face of that program, you can't say something like that and not expect some punishment...it was from the school and they have the right to do whatever they want to protect their image.
